Currently, Cancer Care Associates, P.C. participates in several health care plans. As a participant in these plans, all services provided by us can be billed directly to your insurance company for payment. Payments by insurance companies vary; some companies provide full coverage while others pay only a portion. Any service not covered by your insurance plan and any co-pays or deductibles are your responsibility and should be paid at the time of service. If you have an insurance plan that requires a referral, please make sure that you obtain your referral from your primary care physician before your appointment. Even if we do not participate in your insurance program, arrangements often can be made for direct payment by your company. Individual arrangements must be made prior to your office appointment.
Cancer Care Associates is pleased to offer you the services of a financial counselor who specializes many things designed to inform you about your options and provide resources to confront the financial challenges that treatment presents. This includes:
- Helping patients calculate any out of pocket expenses they may incur while undergoing treatment at CCA..
- Research patient assistance programs to cover many of the drug costs for which patients would be responsible.
- Work with patients to obtain state assistance, disability coverage or any other insurance benefits they may be eligible for.
- Assist patients undergoing oral chemotherapy treatment to ensure they obtain drugs from a secure source at a reasonable rate and with assistance should that be necessary.
- Pam will work with patients experiencing financial hardship who do not qualify for assistance to establish payment plans, obtain charitable grants or other sources to help them pay their bill.
