Cancer Care Associates, started in 1992 by David Decker and John Burdakin, began with a vision to provide the best quality care to our patients and their families and to bring clinical research programs to patients in a caring and compassionate environment. Since then, 5 additional physicians and 4 physician extenders have joined the group, bringing with them a level of expertise and care that has allowed our founders to see their vision become a reality.

The physicians, physician extenders and nurses of CCA are committed to offering patients access to state-of-the-art treatments through participation in clinical research. The team is involved in cutting-edge research with the National Cancer Institute (NCI), the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP), cooperative research groups such as the Southwest Oncology, and pharmaceutical trials.

The therapeutic team at Cancer Care Associates extends to the medical technologists and assistants, billers, medical records personnel, office assistance and our administrative staff. Each staff member wants to give patients and their families a healing experience with every office visit and phone call. We are all focused on ensuring that patients achieve the utmost quality of life by providing medical treatment with caring support.

CCA has been successful at providing a complete continuum of care while creating an encouraging environment – thanks to its unique combination of skilled physicians, research involvement, full cancer diagnosis and treatment services, and patient support programs.
